Apulia, Italy
In response to an invitation from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to the Apulia region in Italy for the G7 Outreach Summit. This visit holds special significance as it marks his first official visit during the third consecutive term and aligns with the prestigious G-7 Summit.
Reflecting on his previous engagement in Italy during the G20 Summit in 2021, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of bilateral relations. Prime Minister Meloni’s two visits to India last year have significantly bolstered cooperation, particularly in the Indo-Pacific and Mediterranean regions.
The Outreach session at the G7 Summit will focus on critical global issues, including artificial intelligence, energy, Africa, and the Mediterranean. Prime Minister Modi aims to synergize outcomes from the G20 Summit held under India’s Presidency with the forthcoming G7 Summit, addressing crucial matters for the Global South.
As he prepares to meet other world leaders participating in the Summit, Prime Minister Modi remains committed to consolidating the India-Italy strategic partnership and fostering collaboration on regional and global challenges.
