Get ready to be dazzled! The electrifying Shigmotsav Float Parade explodes onto the streets of Panaji this Saturday, March 30th, 2024. Witness a kaleidoscope of floats showcasing the vibrant spirit of Goa as they snake their way through the city.

Heads Up for Drivers:

To ensure a smooth ride for everyone, some temporary traffic adjustments will be in place.

Shigmotsav Float Parade Route:

  • Floats assemble on Ribandar Causeway, starting near Santa Monica Jetty.
  • The parade kicks off at 3:00 PM.
  • Floats will conclude near Campal and park at the Football Ground.
  • Important Note: If you’re coming from KTC Circle, floats won’t be allowed towards Divja Circle. Take the Merces Circle Bypass to reach Ribandar Causeway.

Traffic Flow:

  • Incoming traffic to Panaji City can continue using the new Patto Bridge, with a detour at the Dayanand Bandodkar statue towards Church Square.
  • Vehicles coming from Bambolim can access Panaji via the new Mala Bridge and Four Pillar Junction.
  • City buses will be taking a break on DBB Marg during the parade.
  • Traffic coming from Ribandar will be rerouted via the Merces underpass and NH-4A.

Exiting Panaji:

  • Traffic originating from Miramar will make a right turn at Campal, proceeding onward via Fire Brigade Junction and St. Inez Junction.
  • Vehicles from Rua-de-Ourem will be redirected right towards Kaju Darbar.

Attention Heavy Vehicles and Tourist Buses:

  • Special restrictions apply:
    • No entry into the city from 7:00 AM onwards.
    • If you’re coming from Dona Paula, you won’t be allowed beyond Miramar Circle after 2:00 PM.
  • Traffic travelling from Panaji to Ribandar will be diverted via KTC Circle, Merces Circle, and the Bypass road.

Parking Information:

  • North Goa Floats: Park at EDC Plaza/MLCP or the KTC bus stand.
  • South Goa Floats: Take the GMC-Goa University-NIO Circle-Miramar route and park at the Campal Parade Ground.

Please Note: Parking will be restricted in these areas:

  • Jose Falcao Road
  • Joao Castro Road
  • Match Corner to Casa International (M.G. Road)
  • Caculo Island to St. Inez Junction
  • Church Square to Cortin Foot Bridge
