The International Purple Fest Goa 2024, organised by the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, is poised to make a significant impact by offering state-of-the-art modular Below-Knee and Above-Knee Prosthesis at no cost. The assessment will take place at Rugnashraya in Kalapur, Tiswadi, starting from January 24, with timings set between 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Minister of Social Welfare Subhash Phal Dessai said: “I am honoured to announce that the International Purple Fest Goa 2024, organized by the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, is set to make a transformative impact. This generous endeavour exemplifies our commitment to enabling amputees to lead more fulfilling and joyful lives. The International Purple Fest-Goa, 2024, stands as a beacon of positive change in fostering inclusivity and well-being for all.”
Guruprasad Pawaskar, the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, expressed his enthusiasm about the positive influence of the International Purple Fest-Goa, 2024. He announced, “I am pleased to share that, as part of the impact of the International Purple Fest, prosthetics for below-knee and above-knee amputees will be made available free of cost. This marks a significant stride in enabling individuals who require such prosthetics to lead more fulfilling and joyful lives.”

This commendable initiative is made possible through collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Rugnashraya, Bambolim. The collective aim is to improve the quality of life for individuals in need of prosthetic limbs.
