Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant attended the closing ceremony of #internationalpurplefestgoa2024 organized by the Goa State Disability Commission & the Directorate of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Dept of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The festival brought together Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) from India and 17 countries at Panaji. Minister for Social Welfare, Shri. Subhash Phal Dessai, MLA, Shri. Rajesh Faldessai Social Worker Cumbharjua Constituency, Member of RS, Shri. Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Chief Secretary, Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Shipping and Waterways, Shri. Rajesh Agarwal (IAS), State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Shri. Guruprasad Pawaskar, Secretary Social Welfare, Shri. Subhash Chandra, IAS & others were also present. A MoU about creating an aggregating platform for livelihoods & employment for persons with disabilities was signed between the Dept of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities & National Human Resources Development Network
