In a significant move towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant flagged off 20 Electric Buses of the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTCL). The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Mauvin Godinho, the Transport and Panchayat Minister, as well as KTCL Chairman & MLA Shri Ulhas Tuenkar, MLA Rodolfo Fernandes, and other dignitaries.

These state-of-the-art electric buses are designed to be accessible to Divyangjan, equipped with advanced technology. With this addition, KTCL’s fleet of electric buses has now reached 51, contributing to a significant reduction in carbon emissions and revolutionizing public transportation in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant expressed his commitment to maximizing the utilization of green energy and announced plans to further expand the electric bus fleet. By the end of the year, the State aims to have 198 electric buses operating, solidifying Goa’s position as a leader in sustainable transportation.

The introduction of these electric buses not only promotes environmental conservation but also provides citizens with a reliable and efficient mode of transportation. The Government of Goa remains steadfast in its dedication to embracing green energy solutions and building a cleaner, greener future for the state.
