Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the ‘Together We Can’ a National Conference on Issues of Street Dwellers organized by Jeevan Anand Sanstha in association with Saraswat Education Society’s Caculo College of Commerce & Management studies in the presence of Deputy Speaker of Assembly Shri. Joshua De Souza, MLA and Chairman of Horticulture Corp. Shri Premendra Vishnu Shet, Founder of Jeevan Aanand Sanstha Shri Sandeep Parab and others.
CM congratulated Jeevan Anand Sanstha for providing aid to street dwellers in Goa and organizing this National Conference. He said he was happy to note that the Govt. of Goa runs 12 Ashrams for old age people under the Provedoria dept. That the Govt. of Goa is committed to extend all the support through the Social Welfare Department, and schemes of union social welfare department for the betterment of this section of society.
He welcomed all the NGOs, individuals who came there for the conference. He stressed upon deliberation and discussions shall take place for a better future of the street dwellers.
