India’s largest iron ore producer NMDC has recorded production of 3.51 million tonnes (MT) and sales of 3.43 million tonnes in April 2023. This is the best performance for any April month in the history of NMDC.

Iron ore production by NMDC in April 2023 is 11.42% higher than April 2022 and sales are 9.93% higher than the same period of last year. It is poised to build on the momentum of achieving more than 40 MT consecutively in FY2022 and FY2023 as the company has achieved the highest production and sales for any April month since inception.
NMDC CMD (Additional Charge) Amitav Mukherjee while congratulating Team NMDC for the stupendous performance said that dedication and consistency is visible in NMDC’s two consecutive efforts. We are continuously adopting new processes and technologies to strengthen our supply chain and meet the iron ore demands of the nation. We are now aiming to become a 100 MTPA mining company by 2030 and are confidently moving ahead on the roadmap prepared to achieve this.
