CM Dr. Sawant Joined the Urban Tree Management Workshop organized by Panaji Smart City, Tree Care and Goa State Biodiversity Board, and Launched the Specialcrift mobile application, developed by a Goa-based startup. The workshop is focusing on various aspects of tree care, including cutting, climbing, planting and repairing trees. Key objectives of the initiative include: Managing and maintaining urban trees in Panaji. Establishing green tunnel roads to promote sustainable urban environments. Planting over 1,000 trees, which will be closely monitored for growth and health. Enhancing tree management efforts to increase biodiversity in the city. Aiming to reduce the city’s temperature by up to 2°C through increased green cover.
