Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa, Dr. Parveen Kumar inaugurated the two days National Conference on ‘ Mangroves for Climate Change Mitigation & Sustainability of the Coastal Populace (NCMCS 2024) on the occasion of World Mangrove Day, at a function organized by Department of Botany of P. E. S’s Ravi Naik College of Arts & Science in association with Mangrove Society of India, Department of Environment & Climate Change Govt. of Goa, Goa State Biodiversity Board & Goa State Pollution Control Board at Ponda. Secretary of Ponda Education Society, Shri. Ritesh Naik was also present. Eminent Resource persons from Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Goa delivered the lectures and shared their Expertise. The aim of the conference is to create awareness about mangroves and associated research.
