Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant released the Books translated in English from Portuguese under Source Material of the Freedom Movement of Goa by the Department of Goa Gazetteer and Historical Records in the presence of Executive Editor Dr Balaji Shenvy and others.

HCM stated that these books include Trials of Umakant Sinai Kantak, Narmada Prasad Sharma, Shirubhau Limaye, Sridhar Shirsat, Rajnikant Mahatme, Vishwanath Gude, Dinanath Ambe, Gurudas Kunde, Laxmi Painguinkar, Suryakanti Fal Desai and Gangadhar Lolienkar.

Additionally he said that these books shall shed a new light on the Goa Freedom struggle and highlight the heroics of Freedom Fighters who laid their lives for Goa.
