New Delhi, June 13, 2024: Prime Minister [Prime Minister’s Name] is set to depart for Italy today to participate in the G7 Outreach Summit taking place in the Apulia region on June 14th.
This marks the Prime Minister’s first official visit abroad in his third term and holds significance for India-Italy relations. The Prime Minister fondly remembers his 2021 visit to Italy for the G20 Summit. He also acknowledges the importance of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s two visits to India last year in strengthening bilateral ties.
The G7 Outreach session will focus on crucial topics like artificial intelligence, energy, developments in Africa, and the Mediterranean region. The Prime Minister sees this as an opportunity to bridge the outcomes of India’s recent G20 presidency with the upcoming G7 Summit and address key issues impacting the Global South.
