Rajya Sabha MP and the State President of BJP Goa Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade paid sincere tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect our Temple of Democracy during the unfortunate Parliamentary Attack on 13th December 2001.
Shri Tanavade showed his deep respect by laying floral tributes, representing the nation’s gratitude for the bravery and selflessness demonstrated by these Indian Bravehearts, including Constable Kamlesh Kumari Yadav. They exhibited exceptional courage and made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the Indian Parliament from Pakistani terrorists.
Reacting to the importance of this day, Shri Tanavade said, “The selfless acts of these heroes show the strength and togetherness that define our nation. Their strong dedication to protecting our Temple of Democracy is an inspiration for generations to come.”
Shri Tanavade extended his thoughts and prayers to the families of the fallen heroes, recognizing the lasting impact their sacrifice has on the entire nation.
In the spirit of remembering and staying united, Shri Tanavade stressed the significance of upholding democratic principles and expressed BJP Government’s commitment under the able leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to ensuring the safety and sanctity of our democratic institutions.
The event was held at Parliament in New Delhi attended by MPs, members of the media, and parliamentary staff, all coming together to pay their respects to those who bravely defended the core values of our democracy.
