Goa’s Commitment to inclusivity recognized: State Commissioner and Secretary win National Award for Empowering Persons with Disabilities for the year 2023
Goa State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Shri. Guruprasad Pawaskar, has won the National Award for the Empowerment of PwDs for the year 2023!
Under the ‘Divyangjano Ke Adhikar Adhiniyam 2016, Ke Apne Rajya Mein Karyanvayan Mein Sarvashreshtha Rajya Aayukta Divyangjan category’, Shri. Pawaskar has been recognized as the Best State Commissioner for Empowering Persons with Disabilities.
Secretary of the Goa State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Shri. Taha Haaziq, has won the National Award for the Empowerment of PwDs for the year 2023 under the Sarvashreshtha Divyangjan category.
The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment gives away the National Awards for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities every year to Individuals, Institutions, Organizations, State/District etc for their outstanding achievements and work done towards empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
