Mapusa MLA and Deputy Speaker, Joshua, recently conducted an inspection of the damaged culvert in Khorlim. Accompanied by several key officials including Mapusa Traffic PI Shri. Marlon D’Souza, PWD E.E. Shri. Belgavkar, PWD A.E. Shri. Mahesh Shetye, and Councillor Shri. Swapnil Shirodkar, Joshua assessed the extent of the damage caused by the onset of the monsoon.
The culvert, which serves as a crucial transportation link in the area, was found to be damaged from its foundation. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the MLA assured the residents of Khorlim that the repair work would be given top priority by the Disaster Management team.
Joshua urged the residents of Khorlim to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience caused by the repair work. Understanding the importance of restoring the culvert to its full functionality, he emphasized the need for patience from the community.
Efforts are underway to swiftly address the issue and complete the repair work as soon as possible. The local authorities, in coordination with the Disaster Management team, are committed to ensuring the prompt restoration of the culvert, thereby alleviating any inconvenience faced by the residents of Khorlim.
