Union MoS for Tourism, Shri. Shripad Naik attended the State Level function, launched #MISHTI Program & also planted saplings on the occasion of #WorldEnvironmentDay2023 organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt of India, Goa Forest Department & Wildlife and Ecotourism, Campal Range, North Goa at Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Chorao. MISHTI is a remarkable initiative aiming to boost mangrove cover and fortify coastal infrastructure resilience, among other things. The MISHTI program is being launched at 75 Mangrove sites across 9 states. Mayem MLA, Shri. Premendra Vishnu Shet, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Shri. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, IFS & others were also present.
