Keeping in view the benefits of the users, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has allowed residents to verify their mobile number and email etc. linked with Aadhaar.

It had come to the notice of UIDAI that in some cases residents were not aware/not sure which of their mobiles was linked to their Aadhaar. So , the residents were worried that the Aadhaar OTP is not going to any other mobile number. Now , with this facility, residents can view these very easily.

This facility can be availed on the official website ( https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in / ) or through the mAadhaar app under the ‘ Verify Email/Mobile Number ‘ feature. It has been developed for the residents to verify that their email/mobile number is linked with the relevant Aadhaar.

This feature confirms to the residents that their email/mobile number is linked only with the respective Aadhaar as per their knowledge. It also notifies the resident in case a particular mobile number is not linked and informs the resident that he/she can take necessary steps to update the mobile number if they so desire.

In case the mobile number is already verified then the residents will see a message like “ The mobile number entered by you is already verified with our records ” , which will be displayed on their screen.

In such a situation , when a resident does not remember the mobile number which he/she had given at the time of enrolment , he/she can check the last three digits of the mobile number on the Aadhaar verification feature on Myaadhaar portal or mAadhaar app.

If a resident wants to link his/her email/mobile number with Aadhaar or wants to update his/her email/mobile number, he/she can visit the nearest Aadhaar centre.
