Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, attended and addressed the ‘A K Sankara Anusaran Sammelan’ held at Kozhikode, in the presence of Hon’ble Governor of Goa Shri. P S Shridharan Pillai Ji, BJP National Secretary Shri. Y Satya Kumar, Eminent Malayalam writer T Padmanabhan, and others.
During the event, Dr. Sawant felicitated Smt. P Janaki Amma, wife of late A K Sankara Menon Ji, on behalf of the Government and people of Goa. He highlighted the immense contribution of Shri. A K Sankara Menon Ji, who served as the Kerala President of Goan Freedom Participants organization, to the Goa’s liberation movement. Dr. Sawant emphasized that Goa will always be indebted to his contribution to Goa’s liberation.
Dr. Sawant was also delighted to release two books authored by Hon’ble Governor Pillai Ji, ‘Striking a Chord’ and ‘Protect Sovereignty’ in his home state. He expressed his confidence that the writings of Hon’ble Governor Pillai Ji would inspire many to serve the nation and fulfill their social responsibilities.
Furthermore, Dr. Sawant congratulated all the recipients of the A K Sankara Menon memorial awards and conveyed his best wishes for their bright future.
