Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant visited Colvale Jail & inaugurated Newly Constructed Cow Shed, Sanitary Pad Making Machine at Modern Central Jail, Colvale. IGP, Shri. Omvir Singh Bishnoi, IPS, Superintendent, Modern Central Jail Colvale, Shri. Gouresh Kurtikar & others were also present.
Inaugurated the Cow Shed and Sanitary Napking making machine in the Colvale Jail.
The launch at the Swayampurna Reform Center, is aimed at making Goa’s prisons self-reliant.The newly inaugurated cow shed would support the prison’s self-reliance by supplying milk and gober gas for internal consumption.
The sanitary napkin making machine would facilitate female inmates and serve as a great addition to the prison being self-reliant for basic necessities. The CM said that Govt. of Goa remains committed to the welfare of prison inmates and will continue to support them in all aspects that will aid their reformative journey
